Vakarufalhi's stunning house reef offers incredible snorkeling right outside your bungalow.
The Vakarufalhi house reef runs right the way around the island. The shallow lagoon offers the perfect location for beginners to get their face under the water for the first time and is dotted with small coral formations littered with damsel fish, butterfly fish and puffer fish to name but a few.
Once you get onto the reef itself, the list of things you can see is endless - with turtles, stingrays and tunas cruising past. Keep a close eye on the reef itself for stonefish, scorpion fish, lobsters and octopus. The stunning colours of the oriental sweetlips, angel fish and butterfly fish can take your breath away as they proudly swim around the reef. While for those seeking an adrenalin rush, white tip reef sharks and nurse sharks can also be spotted.
Once a week we offer a guided Night Snorkel on the house reef for those of you interested in seeing the differences that take place once the sun goes down. Grab one of our torches and join us for a unique view of the reef at night.
