Almost 50 dive sites are spread across the Lhaviyani Atoll, with new sites still being found! The topography of the Lhaviyani Atoll results in a wide variety of dive sites and an astounding quantity of fish life.
This vast range of dive sites means we have something for everyone. From gentle dives for beginners, to serious drift dives for adrenalin junkies. Superb macro locations and endless wide angle subjects for photographers are also available.
The Lhaviyani Atoll is well known for its abundance of fish life. Over 15 species of sharks have been sighted in the Atoll, 6 of which are regularly seen by divers. These sightings include grey reef, leopard and nurse sharks.
Rays are also common, with the chance of seeing stingrays on most dives. Seasonal sightings of the majestic Manta Ray are also common. FUSHIVARU THILA is home to a manta cleaning station, while Dhanifaru in the south of the Atoll offers the chance to see mantas while they feed close to the surface. Turtles are abundant in the Lhaviyani Atoll. Hawksbill turtles are common on dives, while at KUREDU CAVES you have the unique chance to observe a green turtle community in action - extremely rare in the fact that turtles are normally solitary creatures, and there are very few sites like this across the world.
But there is a lot more on offer than just sharks, mantas and turtles...
